The Streets & Thoroughfares Committee shall work with the Town Engineer in developing and implementing plans and actions necessary to maintain, construct and preserve the streets and thoroughfares in the Town, including construction, drainage, surface water, snow removal, striping, and all other matters relating to a high quality street system that focuses
on safety, efficiency, and convenience for residents.

Police & Law Enforcement Committee

Meetings – Called as required.
The Police & Safety Committee shall work with the Town Marshal and other police officers to encourage safety within the Town and to enforce of all laws applicable to the Town and its citizens.

Finance Committee

Meetings – Called as required.
The Finance Committee shall include all Town Councilors and work with the Town Clerk Treasurer and Assistant Clerk Treasurer throughout the budget process and on various other fiscal duties as may be prescribed from time to time by the State of Indiana.

The Land Use Committee shall work to educate and assist both residents and the City of Indianapolis in adhering to the setbacks and restrictions unique to the Town of Meridian Hills in an effort to preserve the character of the Town and minimize any negative impact of building or remodeling projects on existing drainage systems.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee shall work to improve communication between the Town Administration and residents using vehicles such as newsletters, website, yard sign reminders of monthly council meetings, to help create a stronger identity and sense of community within the Town.
