Below is the update from our Town’s Engineer:
In preparation for the upcoming Pennsylvania Street Bridge Replacement being completed by the City of Indianapolis, there will be tree clearing and utility relocation work starting next week that will cause lane restrictions on Pennsylvania Street between 75th Street and Williams Creek Blvd. The following work and lane restrictions are anticipated to occur February 26th – March 29th:
- Green Arbor Tree Experts, Inc. will be on-site Monday, February 26th to complete the necessary tree removals for the CEG water main relocation. This work will be completed under temporary lane restrictions with signage and flaggers; however, it is anticipated that there will be no bridge/road closures for this work.
- March 1st – March 13th: Green Arbor Tree Experts, Inc. will be on-site from Friday, March 1st to Wednesday, March 13th to complete all remaining tree removals for the project. This work will include a daily road closure at the bridge that is anticipated to be limited to the hours of 9:00 am – 3:30 pm. Temporary lane restrictions with flaggers may occur outside of this timeframe. A signed detour route will be in place during the closure.
- February 29th – March 29th: CEG crews will be on-site from Thursday, February 29th to Fiday, March 29th to complete a water main relocation on the east side of Pennsylvania Street. It is anticipated that this work will result in lane restrictions to northbound Pennsylvania Street between the hours of 8:00 am – 4:00 pm with signage and flaggers.
Impacted residents within the work limits will be notified by the respective companies prior to work. Access to driveways within the work limits will be maintained throughout the work. It is anticipated that additional utility relocations will be occurring in the near future and that information will be relayed when it is known.
Thank you in advance for your patience,
